We’ll visit a great site in Arches National park for astrophotography, and may be able to visit a second site if time permits. I’ll pick you up from your hotel at 11:30pm and we’ll head to the park and setup for an unforgettable time with some Milky Way goodness. Along the way I’ll provide as much personalized instruction and tips as you’d like to take your photography to the next level.
Duration: Approximately 3 hours, with pickup at 11:30PM, return to hotel at around 2:15-2:30AM
What’s Included:
•Transportation for the duration of the trip. I’ll pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.
•Photography instruction and guidance in the field, including (if desired):
-Planning apps and how to use them to find and plan photos with precision.
-Choosing the best camera settings based on lighting and other conditions to get the best exposure possible.
-I’ll be sharing knowledge and tips about getting the most out of a Milky Way shoot, and will answer any questions you have along the way.
What to bring:
•Camera with wide angle lens for landscape shots
•Recommended lens for astrophotography is also wide angle and has aperture of f2.8 or wider (lower value)
•Tripod
•Light for walking around at night, headlamp preferable. I have an extra if needed.
•Water and snacks
Refunds & Cancellations:
Cancellations made at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance of the tour will receive a full refund, minus a 7% processing fee. Cancellations made within 3 days of the trip will receive a 50% refund, minus a 7% processing fee. I cannot be responsible for wind, weather, rain, heat, or other unforeseen circumstances. I do not usually cancel trips due to weather as stormy weather produces unique and dramatic photos. However, it is possible that locations are changed, or a trip is rescheduled or canceled due to unsafe or extreme conditions, in which case a full refund, minus a 7% processing fee, will be given.
Cost: $345 total (1 photographer at $265, 1 non-photographer at $80per person)
