May 29th, 2025 - Astrophotography Trip
We’ll explore some awesome sites in Arches National park for astrophotography. We’ll meet up at Lion’s Park at 10:00pm and we’ll head to the park and setup for an unforgettable time with some Milky Way goodness. Along the way I’ll provide as much personalized instruction and tips as you’d like to take your photography to the next level, and we’ll look at options for including people in the photos as well.
Duration: Approximately 3.5 hours, with meetup at 10:00PM, return at approximately 1:30AM
What’s Included:
•Transportation for the duration of the trip. We’ll meet at Lion’s Park and go from there. We can arrange for pickup at your home if needed.
•Photography instruction and guidance in the field, including (if desired):
-Planning apps and how to use them to find and plan photos with precision.
-Choosing the best camera settings based on lighting and other conditions to get the best exposure possible.
-I’ll be sharing knowledge and tips about getting the most out of a Milky Way shoot, including with people, and will answer any questions you have along the way.
What to bring:
•Camera with wide angle lens for landscape shots
•Recommended lens for astrophotography is also wide angle and has aperture of f2.8 or wider (lower value)
•Tripod
•Light for walking around at night, headlamp preferable. I have an extra if needed.
•Water and snacks
Cost: $265 per person
